    Day 1: Arusha to Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp)


    (2385 m) (2780 m)

    In the morning, you will make your way to the Lemosho Gate. Here you will be registered by the national park authorities and your trek through a dense rainforest begins. Today will be a shortest walk of the entire trek, about 2½ hours, which gives you a small taste of what lies ahead in the coming days. The walk takes you through dense and unspoiled rainforest, which is very different from the scenery you will have in the next couple of days. Your destination for the day is the beautiful Big Tree Camp at 2780 m

    Day 2: Big Tree Camp Shira Camp 1

    Elevation: 3600 m/9137ft to 3500 m/12,779ft
    Altitude gained: 1110m

    Embarking post-breakfast, you'll traverse a narrow trail through the rainforest, bidding farewell to lush greenery as you venture into the moorland. The terrain transforms, adorned with Erica and Lobelia plants. After 3-4 hours, Shira Camp 1 emerges, offering respite and sustenance for the night amidst this captivating landscape.

    Day 3: Shira Camp 1 Shira Camp 2

    Elevation: 3500 m/to 3500 m/3900 m
    Altitude gained: 1110m

    Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty breakfast of oatmeal, fresh fruits, and hot coffee, fueling your trek across Shira Ridge. Lunch: Enjoy a nutritious midday meal amidst breathtaking views, featuring sandwiches, trail mix, and energy bars to keep you energized. Dinner: At Shira Camp 2 (3900m), savor a satisfying dinner of warm soup, grilled chicken, and vegetables, replenishing your energy for the adventures ahead.

    Day 4: Shira Camp 2 Lava Tower Barranco Camp


    (3900 m) to (4640 m) to (3960 m)

    Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty breakfast of oatmeal, fresh fruits, and hot coffee, fueling your trek across Shira Ridge. Lunch: Enjoy a nutritious midday meal amidst breathtaking views, featuring sandwiches, trail mix, and energy bars to keep you energized. Post-breakfast, ascend to Lava Tower, gaining 740m in altitude for acclimatization. After a rest, descend through Barranco Valley, encountering striking Senecias and delicate Lobelia plants. Arrive at Barranco Camp after 6-7 hours, greeted by the crew with a well-deserved evening meal, culminating a day of altitude adjustment and scenic exploration.

    Day 5: Barranco Camp Karanga Camp


    ((3960 m) to (4035 m)

    Following breakfast, ascend the iconic Barranco Wall, the steepest section of the route, under the guidance of experienced guides prioritizing safety. While some handholds may be necessary, no alpine climbing is involved. Upon conquering the wall, traverse the mountain ridge, relishing potential views of Kibo's southern glacier. After 3-4 hours, arrive at Karanga Camp for a well-deserved overnight stay, amid the awe-inspiring beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro.

    Day 6: Karanga Camp Barafu Camp


    (4035 m) to (4640 m)

    Embark for Barafu Camp after breakfast, aiming to arrive within 3-4 hours at 15,220 ft (4640 m). Traverse the afro-alpine desert landscape, soaking in the stark beauty of the surroundings. Upon reaching camp, indulge in a hearty early dinner, fueling up for tomorrow's thrilling ascent. Rest well, preparing for the exciting climb that awaits.

    Day 7: Barafu – Uhuru Peak Camp – Mweka Camp


    (4640 m) to (5895 m) to (3080 m)

    Your summit day commences at 00:00 with hot tea and biscuits, embarking on a 5-7 hour trek to Stella Point, Kilimanjaro's crater rim. After a brief rest, push for another 1-2 hours to reach the pinnacle, Uhuru Peak (5895 m). Witness an unforgettable sunrise atop Africa, capturing breathtaking views. Descend to Barafu Camp for 1-2 hours' rest before continuing to Mweka gate (3080 m) in approximately 3 hours. The evening offers relaxation, a hearty meal, and well-deserved rest.

    Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Usa River


    (3080 m) to (1630 m)

    Following breakfast, savor a traditional farewell ceremony with the mountain guides. Embark on a 2-3 hour walk through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Our driver awaits to transport you to Sal Salinero Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day unwinding, reflecting on the exhilarating journey of the past days.
