Today, the highlight of your journey awaits as you embark on an unforgettable adventure to encounter Bwindi’s gentle giants, the endangered mountain gorillas. In the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, these magnificent creatures share their habitat with chimpanzees, primates, mammals, butterflies, and an array of bird species. Gorilla tracking involves searching for one of the habituated family groups, a trek that can last between 2 to 7 hours. Upon locating them, you’ll have one magical hour to observe and immerse yourself in their presence before returning to the lodge to unwind and reflect on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
